Hello Gents~
For this final week of the semester, we're going to work on a multi-day project. You are going to create in Photoshop an album cover of a musical artist of your choosing. You will incorporate the following into your design:
Sup Fellas?
Today we're going to learn to use the CLONE STAMP tool in Photoshop. Basically, it is a tool that copies an area of your image so that you can paste it somewhere else on the image. Here's how you use it:
Part 1 - Bring this COW into Photoshop, then, using your Clone Stamp Tool, make the COW disappear, leaving only a beautiful grassy meadow. COW FILE Part 2 - Based on a true story... Hey congratulations, you neighbor heard you know how to work with Photoshop and want to pay you to fix up this image - DOGGIES. As you can see it needs work. Let's work.
Completing this will give you 60% of the day's grade today. Play with this effect or some other effect(s) to receive the remaining 40%. Stay (or look) busy. Get off your dang phone.
Now create one of your own. Find a face image to play with. Find a TEXTURE IMAGE to place with. Set up your layers the same way the WOMAN/WALL file was set up. You may have to resize/crop either of the images to match them both. Follow the steps. You may play with certain elements to make the final product your own - you may use different filters or blur settings for example. Explore & have fun with it!
LET'S ADD SOME FIRE!!! Here is your fire file - FIRES
Let's work with this file today: GOLD TEXT - START
Now add a NEW LAYER – call that layer SPARKLES. Choose your BRUSH tool and change your foreground color to WHITE. Change your brush size to 90 or so, and Hardness should be 0. Click one time on the rounded parts of the letters – once on the G and D, twice on the O. Hold Ctrl & and click on the text layer. With the SPARKLES layer still selected, click on the ADD LAYER MASK at the bottom of the window |
